Visit a small planet

Elinor Fuchs He is a person who creates the system. People had used it for several years through how to read a play in Yale University. The questions are mostly for forestall leap to characters. A play he described is people can feel the scripts and times that passes through. The directors should not make too focus on the lines, or then, the scripts are going to be so hard for people to understand. Or they cannot make too much focus on the characters so it will be too easy for people to read. In order to make this play well enough, we should mold the play into a small middle ball, and squint them into our eyes so it can be easier to see the entire planet. We should then ask ourselves about what is the planet like(interior or exterior, well built or natural….). Does it have any lands, valley, river, mountains, desert? Afterward, we should ask about the time such as how does the time go on this planet? By clock like us? Or by the sun? Or by Moon? There is a different type of ways that...

Then, he begins to scatter flowers on Juliet’s grave.  He hears the whistle from page, so he hides in the dark, without any lights on. He sees a man is coming. Romeo and Balthasars enter, and Romeo carries a crowbar. Romeo says to Balthasars that he is here because he wants to take a ring from Juliet that he had given to her, and Balthasars should leave. He gives Balthasars a letter, and command him to give it to his lord in the morning. Afterward, Romeo gives him money. Balthasar agrees, yet mistrusts his master. As a result, he hides in the dark and sees what will happened. In my opinion, I will definitely choose Romeo, Juliet because they were the main characters in the play. Without them, it’s not Romeo and Juliet. Also I will choose Friar Lawrence because he is the one who has multiple ideas for the couple, and he provides the ideas for them. Also, he is the pushing character in the play because they fall in love with each other, Friar Lawrence marries them as husband and wife in the church. And when Juliet is desperate, and she couldn’t figure out what to do, Friar Lawrence says she can take the potion, and this will keep her fall asleep like death, so he makes Romeo worries about Juliet, in addition, comes and sees her. Furthermore, I will also choose Tybalt, because of his death, the two rival families come to the point which are more against each other. He makes this conflict harsher, and because he sees Romeo at the party, he wants to kill him. I will choose the lord Capulet because he symbolizes for the family, he wants Juliet obeys everything...

Marty Paragraph

This question is controversial that everyone might all kind of influence the tragedy, but in my opinion, Friar Lawrence is the biggest affect that lead the death of Romeo and Juliet. He doesn't prevent them fall in love with each other even they are the enemy against each other. Friar Lawrence is one of the priests in the city; supposingly, he is educated in the city, so he has to know whether the decision is right or wrong. However, In the book, when Romeo begs him to marry the two young lovers, he instantly agrees with marrying the two young lovers. He says:"“Thy love did read by rote that could not spell. But come, young waverer, come go with me,In one respect I’ll thy assistant be; For this alliance may so happy prove To turn your households’ rancor to pure love." In this sentence, it says Friar will help Romeo and Juliet to have a secret marriage, and this marriage will let the two family turn their resentfulness into love. This shows that Friar wants them to get marr...

Notes for Act 3

The Capulets and Paris are talking about because of the sad events of Tybalt, they had no time to ask Juliet about the feelings to Paris after that balls. Lady Capulet says she will take to her daughter and knows it tomorrow, then, Paris is ready to leave, but Capulet says his daughter will agree the marriage that his daughter will listen to him and they will get married on Wednesday. However, when Capulet hears today is Monday, and it's too early. As a result, he changes it to Thursday. Paris is so excited to get married with Juliet. Thinking: Because Tybalt had died, Juliet should marry to a man immediately? That's so unreasonable, and she might be so depressed by the news, and how can her family decide so quickly for her. Just like selling her daughter away. It's also weird for Paris because they just dance for 1 song, and this is too fast to determine when to get married. Romeo appears and Juliet is shocked by him, and Romeo says it's lark which sings for the mor...

In-class writing

Part one -- In Act 3 Scene 1 who is really responsible for Mercutio’s death: Mercutio, who provoked the fight, Tybalt who stabbed him, or Romeo who got between them? Use specific evidence (direct quotes) from the play to back this up. Initially, I think Tybalt is responsible for Mercutio’s death. For one thing, when Mercutio provokes the fight between, Tybalt actually draws his sword up, and fight against Mercutio. Even Romeo persuades or begs Tybalt to stop by saying love the name of Capulet. For example: I do protest I never injured thee,But love thee better than thou canst devise,Till thou shalt know the reason of my love. And so, good Capulet—which name I tender As dearly as my own—be satisfied. By saying this, Romeo hopes Tybalt will stop fighting, and putting down Tybalt’s sword. This sentences show us about the reason why Romeo doesn’t want to fight and the persuasion. But with abusing words, Tybalt draws up his sword and fights again. Mercutio says: “O calm dishonourabl...

Act 3 notes

Act 3 scene 1: Benvolio and Mercutio are hanging out together on the street, and Mercutio proposes that they should be gone because he is afraid of having a fight with the Capulets. Mercutio replies that Benvolio has as quick a temper as any man in Italy, and should not criticize others for their short fuses. Tybalt enters and wants to talk to one of the men, but Mercutio starts to mock at him, and provoke a fight with Tybalt. Romeo comes in, and Tybalt turns his attention to Romeo. But since Tybalt is the cousin of Juliet, Romeo doesn’t want to provoke fight with Tybalt. Tybalt wants him to have the sword and fight with him, but Romeo has a reason, and doesn’t want to fight. Mercutio starts to provoke again and starts to intricate Tybalt, so Tybalt pulls his sword out. Mercutio and Tybalt begin to fight. In Romeo and Juliet, the two foes families have similar status because at first in the prologue, the chorus describe them as the highest aristocracy. So for me to make them have the same level, in the servant part, I will think if  I could have more violent languages between the two family, and maybe can push against each other that nobody is going to forbear the action. Maybe have more eye contact ion between the Capulets and the Montagues like they can stare at each other in a contempt and scorn way, when they are seeing the fight. Ohh! When Paris comes and visits the house, the lord Capulet can say things about the Montagues and complaining their actions in the fight and also their economy in some way, so the have some sort of balance between each other. Also when the Capulet leaves, the the Montague can also say more bad things about the Capulets because they are enemies. Also, the costumes can be more dedicated and splendid. As we saw the Romeo and Juliet in the park, the Capu...
