Poem

I loved you, and I probably still do, And for a while the feeling may remain...                                        But let my love no longer trouble you, I do not wish to cause you any pain. I loved you; and the hopelessness I knew, The jealousy, the shyness - though in vain - Made up a love so tender and so true As may God grant you to be loved again.
I have written the interpretation: seize the day, so now I will focus more on the deeper meanings of this poem. At first, I read the last stanza of the poem because I didn’t really analyze that part a lot, but based on the poem guidance, it states that the last and the first stanza are the most important in a poem. The last stanza highlights the releases. It says:” In its sweet release, the fires of worry and anger will be subdued, and in dreams, you may learn to fly above any blaze and let your secret self-float free above a new world, you must imagine and learn to embrace each and every day.” This sentence states about the worries that people would have in their lives. However, even that, we must learn to fly above the difficulties and also learn to embrace them in your lives. That’s why we are here. Not only enjoying the days that you have spent but also learn to go beyond, trying to solve the problems with it. And when I saw the sentences of the last stanza,  Also, I just re...

My interpretation

In our group, we had Jasmine, me and David. Although we went through some difficulties during the entire show. Yet, we still finished it. We, at first, think we should have some movement in every sentence to show our understanding of the poem. One person should read the sentences and the other two just need to perform what he/she was reading. As a result, it won’t be that boring and tasteless because the audience can see our interpretation of the day on the movements that we were adding. Moreover, we added music to make the movement amusing. At first, the music is soft which emohasizing the quietness. However, we have a more active music afterward, which create a sense of nature and euthusiaism. Then, we changed it again to the quite music, adding a small and sleeping sounds. Then, We were literally performing based on the saying of the authors. We then think that David should be the first to read because he has a soft voice: morning is the beginning of the day, and it might need so...

Hip pop poetry

I saw so many news of shooting in the United States It just makes me frightened. Afraid it’s going to happen to me. Seeing the blood and corpse on the ground makes me nervous Seeing people falling on the ground Hopelessness Helplessness Yes, But there is nothing to help. What an irony.

My interpretation

Seize the day Remember to wake early and take your time rising. Enter the world refreshed by the hope emitted by each atom of light, by the bird who must sing at the sight of the sun. Does he pity us humans, who can choose not to break into song at dawn? Look for small revelations all day. Let water heal your body. Think of bathing as a ritual of new beginnings. Step outside and breathe deeply. Take in the smells of life good and foul. Remember this day is a gift. Be surprised by nature that shares your world of giant steps. The bug that irks you, the yellow butterfly that catches your eye, and the furred thing with sharp teeth that repels you- are all in our moment of history. Concentrate on living hour by hour as if you were feeding coins into a meter measuring your life. Here is this hour, and you have already paid for it. Love your work, and enjoy your play. Remember there is little lasting joy in things done ...

Relationship- might be aggressive

Every couple is difficult to stay up But I don’t know how to live up The situation is like a painful wound that makes my emotion worse And I could only feel someone is choking my neck Why? Because I’m just too sad to say or to convey I couldn’t smell anything because all my head is Filled with sadness Wait! I can smell it, but it just rotten banana all around When I saw the page, I think I am stuck and speechless My heart just broken down into pieces I wonder is it my fault? But my voice tells me No I trusted you so much, but you abandon me Well, I now just need to grow.

The Is Just to Say

In this poem, it has several mutes sounds such as plums, icebox..etc. The mute sounds give a soft meaning in the poem. There is another sound which is s.  -s is the cooling sound, the opening icebox makes s sound.  I can hear the juicy plums, coming from his mouth. The ice-like plums go through in his mouth, having the crunching sound, and the chewing sound. The picture I saw is the red and purple color plums in the white refrigerator. The images of the color of the plum. Someone opens up the refrigerator, seeing the refreshing plums. Maybe just feel thirsty, then just taking it from the icebox. And also, the author sneaks into the kitchen, stealing the plum from the refrigerator. Maybe this is an apology note that was coming from the author, saying sorry, I just ate your plum and forgive what I did to your plums.

Notes from 35-75

While poetry is written in lines that do not necessarily pay attention to the margins, especially the right margin. For every turning is a meaningful decision, the effect of which is sure to be felt by the reader. Discussion of the line is best undertaken through an examination of the metric line. In metrical verse, each line of the poem can be divided into feet, and each foot into stresses to reveal the rhythmic pattern. The process of dividing a line into its metrical feet and each foot into its individual parts is called scansion. An iamb is one light stress followed by a heavy stress. Five iambic feet strung together create an iambic pentameter line. Metrical lines: 1. A one-foot line is called monometer. 2. A two-foot line is called dimeter. 3. A three-foot line is called trimeter. 4. A four-foot line is called tetrameter. 5. A five-foot line is called pentameter. 6. A six-foot line is called hexameter. 7. A seven-foot line is called heptameter. 8. An eight-fo...

A Poetry Handbook 29-34

More Devices of Sound: Sound can also be heard in some cases. In the book, it talks about the devices that have been used for a lot of times. Alliteration is the repetition of the initial sound of words in a line or lines. For example, It bleeds the black blood of the blueberry. This sentence is a great example because it has the ‘b’ sound for every single word. It illustrates the repetition of the initial sound of words. Assonance is the repetition of vowel sounds within words in a line or lines. The example is ‘ and land so lightly And roll back down the mound beside the hole.’ All the words have vowels in them. Because the position, it is inside the words, assonances are less obvious than alliteration, but it is still important in the poem. Onomatopoeia: It is the use of a word that, through its sense, represents what it defines. Bees, Buzz. Cats, Meow..etc.  In the poem, poets are trying to create the sound by using onomatopoeia. For example, the bell rings “tintinnabulati...

Sounds in Poetry handbook

Sound: Sound: In this section, it mainly talks about the sounds that poets would choose in their poems. In the handbook, it says it is important for poets to choose the words because each phrase is different. The feeling of word choices is totally different. A simple example would be “Go!” and “Hurry up!” Audiences tend to see Hurry up as a more feeling words. Afterward, the book says about the Onomatopoeia and the theory of Dingdong. The theory of Dingdong are the sensory impressions which is similar to the Onomatopoeia. Then, it focuses more on the alphabet, creating a consonant or a vowel in each word. It separated into two categories: the vowels and the consonants. vowels: a, e, i, o, u, and sometimes w and y are vowels. Other letters are then consonants. Consonants The consonants are divided into semivowels and mutes . Semivowels is a consonant that can be imperfectly sounded without a vowel, so that the end of a syllable its sound may have longer sound such as l, n, z, ...
