Uta Hagen 9 questions

Who am I? What time is it? Where am I? What surrounds me? I am Lili, which is the night woman works as a prostitute. I am in the late 20 years old.  I raise my kid Little Guy alone after Guy committed suicide. I really adore my son little Guy. You can say that I am over caring Little Guy in some way because all of my attention was on him. Now the time is in the 1940s to 1950s in Haiti. It was the day after my husband died. I have to take care of our child by my own. It’s a normal day in my life, working as prostitute in endless day just to support my son. I live in Haiti with my son. We often hear the violence. The president gain so much power in his hand; he commands us we to do and what not to. Every day, people live in hopeless. We live in higher level of controlling. The only thing we can do is hope these things won't happen to me. I often hear the violence around me. Every day, people live in hopeless. Short reflection

Short reflection due: what were your personal strengths and weaknesses in this project (review the video to assess your performance). 200 words. Post on blog Assigned: 12/1/2018  |   Due: 12/20/2018   |  IB Lit & Perf SL2 1 On Tuesday, our group did our final performance for our Lit&Performance class. As we put out all the props out, I felt nervous and anxious because I felt like I wasn't ready yet. When you said we are ready, then you feel like you weren't ready at all. My hands start sweating; the nerves is out; my brain doesn't work. The final project let me feel a sense of danger. We then started to recite the lines to make sure we got everything down, but unforunately, I still forgot some of my lines during the show.  The strength of our performance is my different reactions toward Little Guy and Guy. When I am talking to Little Guy, my voice is more in a nicer tone, treating him like my only future, so I treated him as nice as p...

Revise my draft-perform well

what do you need to revise on your drafts to show more clarity, conviction, commitment, emotion, and overall strengthen your performance? Be specific on what you need to revise and why. 300 words. My Character in the combining stories is Lili and the night women. These two ladies are the same in most of the condition, but different in their personality. For capturing both, I have to perform both in some ways, yet having more in Lili's section because the main focus or the main storyline is from Lili. When I read the story, I think Lili is a woman who has her own determination, idea. In other words, she is independent and strong. This results in the tragedy of the suicide of Guy. She always forces Guy to do things. As a result, she can act a little forceful as well because she wants to secure the future of Little Guy's. On the other hand, She always suspects Guy or seldom cares about Guy's situation; the only thing in her consideration is Little Guy's future. I thin...

How to best perform

In our group, we chose The Night Women and In A Wall of Fire's Rising to be our overall scene.  As a group, we want to highlight the hope in Lili's mind. In a Wall of Fire Rising, Lili is a character that puts her full attention to her son. In her mind, Little Guy's successful in the future will be the most important thing in her whole life. In the story, she doesn't care if Guy is on desperation or is losing his hope, the only thing she ever wants to keep is Little Guy. She doesn't care if Guy is scrubbing the latrines or not; she tries to console him by saying it's an honest work. Yet, when Guy suggests her to put Little Guy on the list. Lili is mad and imploring Guy not to ruin the boy's future. Lili believes that one day her boy Little Guy can make her proud, so she wants him to be educated. Moreover, she is tougher than the character in Night Women because she puts a lot of pressure on Guy so that Guy jumps out of the balloon. However, we tried to imagi...
