Helen's performance

I still remember the first class in Literature & Performance; we had a warm-up games to help ourselves to perform. Undoubtedly, this class helps me become more and more into acting. When I watch movies, or read books, I will come out with my own emotional analysis. I feel like IB Literature & Performance and IB Theatre help me to know myself better in high school. In the beginning of my junior years, I just want to challenge myself to learn something more outside of the class, in which not only learning the terms and books, but also studying how to speak properly on the stage. In my personal experience, I grow more into performing. In the first place, My performance was stiff and impassive. the first performance on fences is only about the voices. I only know the difference of speaking loudly or quietly, and so I am not actually into performing the personality of my character; for example, fences, I am not really understand what exactly I am expressing; the only thing I can see...

In the work of at least two poets you have studied, examine various patterns and their effects. Naomi always gives readers an understanding of her family and their personality in her poem. In most cases, she mentioned a lot of repetitions and patterns in her pieces. And I think the most effective poems are in Blood and my father and the figtrees; the patterns and the repetition is a really great tool to let the readers to realize what the poet wants to convey to us. By having patterns, we can easily understand the poem.
