Act 2

Scene 1: Romeo is now struggling about what should we do because after kissing Juliet, he finds out that he is in love with Juliet and he wants to meet Juliet again. Then, he decides to go find Juliet. Benvolio yells and he is trying to find Romeo, but Mercutio says he is going to go back to sleep. Benvolio argues that he jumped over the wall so he couldn’t go home, then, Benvolio asks Mercutio to call Romeo. Mercutio uses his ideas and he tries to let Romeo appear like summon him by saying Rosaline and her beauty. Then, they left. Romeo says it’s easier to say because he didn’t love her anymore. Romeo enters Juliet’s garden. After that, he sees windows, he believed that is Juliet’s.  He starts to describe his love again by saying a compliment to Juliet; he loves her too much that every word he cares about her. Then, Juliet starts to speak and say things up in the balcony. Romeo is so exciting that she speaks and he says that Juliet is his angel.
Thinking: Romeo is too rash to decide to love a girl that he only knows her today. They even talk for 5 mins, then how can they fall in love at the first sight. People should get to know each other when they see each other. Benvolio is a great man because he is the one who cares about Romeo. He is worried about his safety and all the issues. He even asks Romeo’s friend to call him to go back, but Romeo doesn’t come out. At least, Romeo should tell his friends, so they could later explaining to Romeo’s parents and comforting them about how they love each other. Maybe they would have a chance to get married.
Sentences: Romeo! Humours, madman, passion, lover! Appear thou in the likeness of a sigh! Speak but one rhyme, and I am satisfied. Cry but “Ay me!” Pronounce but “love” and “dove.”
Scene 2: Juliet mutters that what if Romeo doesn’t call Romeo, or he is not a Montague, then it will be better. Romeo hears it and says he will be willing to change his name. Juliet is so shocked that there is a man under the balcony, she asks why he is there. Romeo explains that because of love wings, he flew over the walls. Juliet mentions that if people see him, he is going to die. He says he doesn’t care, he just wants to see Juliet’s face. And Juliet asks him that why he is here and how does he know about the location of her room, he responds because he loves Juliet, so love will apparently show the way of your room. Juliet becomes shy and timid about what he is saying, she says that she also loves him, and she asks him if she can marry him. Romeo says he will send the message to her tomorrow.
Thinking: He loves Rosaline so much, so how can he see a woman in the house, and immediately falls in love with her. That’s so annoying because he might not really mean it. We don’t know if it’s real or just saying. And how can he go to the other side of the wall if it is too high? The kissing and marriage promise is too rash and careless. It impossible to love an enemy’s son because they might already hate each other because of the ancient grudge.
Sentences: I have night’s cloak to hide me from their eyes, And but thou love me, let them find me here. My life was better ended by their hate Than death proroguèd, wanting of thy love.
Scene 3: Friar Lawrence comes out and he is doing research about some flowers in his garden He is explaining some flowers that he is planting; if people smell it, they will be good all day, but if they drink it, they will be dead. Then, Romeo enters and greets him. He says why Romeo comes so early in the morning and he is guessing that why he is not sleeping maybe is because he has some anxiety in his mind or maybe he didn’t sleep for the whole day. Romeo responds he feels so happy today. Then, Friar Lawrence asks Romeo that Rosaline finally accept you? Romeo says he has already forgotten that girl, but actually, he loves his enemy Juliet now, and he asks Friar to think of an idea for him. Friar says that it is a huge and dramatic change, and scold him for how can he loves a person today and change it tomorrow. while Romeo begs Friar to not scold him. Friar says maybe, so he is going to prepare a secret marriage for them.
Thinking: Friar is a man that also cares about Romeo. At first, he says the evil things that get together might have a good result, maybe the grudge between the two families will finally solve by this marriage. However, the thinking is wrong that it cause Romeo and Juliet died in a sad way. Maybe he has a good heart that wants to handle the bad between the two.
Sentences: The earth, that’s nature’s mother, is her tomb. What is her burying, grave that is her womb. And from her womb children of divers kind, We sucking on her natural bosom find, Many for many virtues excellent, None but for some and yet all different.

Scene 4: Benvolio and Mercutio are worrying about Romeo because he hasn’t been back last night, and Tybalt sent a letter to Romeo and he might ask for a duel. Benvolio thinks Romeo is going to answer the duel that Tybalt has asked. But Mercutio says Tybalt was tough and hard to fight against with because Tybalt is good at fighting. Then, Romeo is coming from somewhere, they see him and calls him. Mercutio immediately begins to ridicule him, claiming that Romeo has been made weak by love. Then Mercutio scolds Romeo for abandoning his friends and goes to find his girl. Romeo does not deny the charge but claims his need was great, and so the offense is forgivable. Afterward, the nurse comes to the stage and asks who is Romeo. Mercutio teases at Romeo and infuriates the nurse, so they go to the house of Romeo. Only Romeo and the nurse left.while the Nurse warns Romeo that he had better not attempt to play Juliet, and Romeo assures her he is not. He asks the Nurse to tell Juliet to find some way to attend confession at Friar Lawrence’s cell that afternoon; there they will be married. The Nurse agrees to deliver the message.

Thinking: Romeo comes back and his friend Mercutio laughs at him and joke at him, so I don’t really like him. He always says bad jokes at his friend. He doesn’t care about his friends. And in this scene, I feel like Romeo is a great person because he is nice to the nurse and he cares about Juliet. He becomes responsible to Juliet and he assures that he is going to marry her because he really likes her. This scene is so moving and touching because Romeo didn’t regret to make his decision and it let the nurse think that Romeo is a great man to marry.
Sentences: Without his roe, like a dried herring. O flesh, flesh, how art thou fishified! Now is he for the numbers that Petrarch flowed in.
Scene 5: Juliet is waiting at her house because she has sent the nurse to find Romeo and schedules a time that they can get married. Then, The Nurse comes in, and Juliet is so surprised and so eager to know the news. But The Nurse says she is tired, sour and out of breath to tell Juliet. Juliet gets crazy and frantic about what happened. She begs the nurse to tell her. And then, the nurse tells her everything that Romeo is waiting for her to marry him. She is so excited and happy to married. She left.
Thinking: Juliet is so excited to be married, and maybe she is smiling because she can marry to a man that she loves. She will probably think that she is going to be happy for the rest of her life. She thinks that she will never get control by her parents anymore.
Romeo and Friar Lawrence wait for Juliet to arrive at the cell. Romeo states that he does not care what misfortune might come because he is so happy now. Friar Lawrence says to Romeo that he should love her moderately and not with too much. Juliet enters and Romeo asks her to speak poetically of her love. Juliet responds that she couldn’t say it now but she feels so rich that she has this love from Romeo, and Juliet’s love is far too great to be so easily described. They exit and get married.
Thinking: of course, marriage is happy, and I thought maybe there will be some events happening in the marriage scene. Maybe someone is coming up and resist their married. But maybe this will depict or portray how sad the ending is. Through marriage, they fall in love, kiss each other, and marry one another, but the sadness would occur strongly and pushing.
Sentences: How art thou out of breath when thou hast breath To say to me that thou art out of breath? The excuse that thou dost make in this delay Is longer than the tale thou dost excuse.
Conceit, more rich in matter than in words, Brags of his substance, not of ornament. They are but beggars that can count their worth. But my true love is grown to such excess I cannot sum up sum of half my wealth.
