Marty Paragraph
This question is controversial that everyone might all kind of influence the tragedy, but in my opinion, Friar Lawrence is the biggest affect that lead the death of Romeo and Juliet. He doesn't prevent them fall in love with each other even they are the enemy against each other. Friar Lawrence is one of the priests in the city; supposingly, he is educated in the city, so he has to know whether the decision is right or wrong. However, In the book, when Romeo begs him to marry the two young lovers, he instantly agrees with marrying the two young lovers. He says:"“Thy love did read by rote that could not spell. But come, young waverer, come go with me,In one respect I’ll thy assistant be; For this alliance may so happy prove To turn your households’ rancor to pure love." In this sentence, it says Friar will help Romeo and Juliet to have a secret marriage, and this marriage will let the two family turn their resentfulness into love. This shows that Friar wants them to get married, and he doesn't even want to convince Romeo to let him give up the chance to marry with Juliet. If he convinces Romeo, and let him fall in love with another woman, then, their relationships will not go up, and maybe there won't be people died.
