Good performances
We went through every single performance on Friday and Monday. Everyone has its own interpretation about its poem. Everyone also improve a lot in the final draft.
Personally, the good qualities for good video are putting yourself in that moment. Whatever your poem wants to convey, you need to put your emotions into the poem such as sad, happy, hesitate, lively…etc. Feel free to use those adjectives to summarize your poem. Then, you can perform well on the stage by giving more understanding of happy, sad or angry. For example, my poem is emphasizing the sadness and love, so I can put my head down,hug myself just to emanate the sadness. At first, my only feeling is sad, so I lowered my voice to do that. Then, I become sadder and disappointed as to point out the hopelessness, so I become louder. In order to let people to feel the same that I did. Moreover, loud is another good quality that stands. Once you are loud, everyone can hear your words clearly. They don’t have to guess what are you talking about, loud can represent your confidence in your performance. If someone is loud, as audience, we might think he/she takes big amount of time to work on their poem. Furthermore, lighting and sounding can also indicate your emotions in the poem. When you have some background music, it can further emphasize your emotions. Also, props can highlight the performance as well because props can give specific objects in which the audience can understand better with the feelings. However, I think actors should limit their props on stage because the audience might get too distracted by the props instead your performance.
