10 questions

This Monday, I already draw the images of every people’s path. However, I had the wrong understanding about Laura. In my previous picture, Laura is having a new life as Jim inspiring her. He tells Laura to be confident, and she is so beautiful, so she doesn’t have to be shy anymore. So maybe she gets an answer about her life afterward, she then knows what to do and how can she improve her life in the future. However, in today’s class, I have learned that maybe because Jim is dancing with her, and kisses her at the end, so she might have some hopes in Jim as her mother does. She hopes that her high school crush might going to marry with her, then, she will be thankful. Nevertheless, Jim says he is already engaged with some girl, so he cannot ‘stay’ anymore. In the first moment, Laura may have some crush and thinks she has chance to marry, but then, the entire world destroyed. She can never marry to him anymore, even she falls in love at the end. Her last hope just goes away and eventually falls. In the last fighting between Tom and Amanda, she just sits there, doing nothing in the house, and maybe her whole world just paralyzed. She can never marry someone she loves and the crippled is deadly, that nobody can help with that.

Act 2

Scene 1: Romeo is now struggling about what should we do because after kissing Juliet, he finds out that he is in love with Juliet and he wants to meet Juliet again. Then, he decides to go find Juliet. Benvolio yells and he is trying to find Romeo, but Mercutio says he is going to go back to sleep. Benvolio argues that he jumped over the wall so he couldn’t go home, then, Benvolio asks Mercutio to call Romeo. Mercutio uses his ideas and he tries to let Romeo appear like summon him by saying Rosaline and her beauty. Then, they left. Romeo says it’s easier to say because he didn’t love her anymore. Romeo enters Juliet’s garden. After that, he sees windows, he believed that is Juliet’s.  He starts to describe his love again by saying a compliment to Juliet; he loves her too much that every word he cares about her. Reflective Blog Post

1). Know well about the terminology of theatre. For example, the downstage, upstage, down right, up left. I know the stage direction pretty well. Also, I know about the type of stage because when it comes to direct the play, I can obviously point out which stage do I want the best. Besides, because I stayed a long time in theatre, the projecting voice sometimes is quite easy for me to perform. More over, as I stand in theatre, I know more about the expressions of characters. How to express emotions on the stage. From IB theatre, I acknowledge the usefulness of colors in the theatre. I know the terms methods of Stanislavski, Uta Hagen, Brecht...etc. 2).
